Clean Up From Snow & College Ap's

11:33 am - I just woke C up so he could watch a dog sled race that he helped out with here in Ely on TV. We've got to clean up from yesterdays snow fall. C might even have to get out his snow blower for the front walk. Big got home from FL last night. I talked to him for about 15 minutes and I'm already feeling depressed about the business. It makes me want to stay out here even more.

5:11 pm - We spent the afternoon working on C's college applications. We made an appointment with the football coach at U of MN for tomorrow night, so we will be driving down tomorrow and spending the night. I've pretty much decided that I'm going to stay out here longer, trying to get all the paper work completed.

8:50 pm - C and I have had a great day, talking about all sort of things, you'd never guess a twenty year old son and his mother would talk about. I really love hanging out with C. Map was going crazy around here until just a little while ago, when she finally crashed on the couch. She has issues with C and I sitting together on couch when we were working on the applications.

Boring Monday

4:30 pm - It was without a question a Monday. With C home I'm back doing two loads of laundry everyday. I meet Big E at the office to do bills and as usual, spent most of the morning waiting on him. We're still having trouble getting Map's collar to work. So far with all the snow, she hasn't wondered off to far. C and I took gifts to Hot Dog Bill's and to my Aunt H's, but we saved a lot of time as no one was home at either place. I got the kitchen picked up so I've got a fee minutes, than I'll start dinner and make some more candy. Can anyone say boring life.

10:07 PM - The boys went up to Mulligan's for Monday Night Football and to meet with all their cousins. So Big E and are Grand-dog sitting again. I guess in truth that I'm the one doing the sitting as Big E has been sleeping on the couch almost since the boys went out the door. The call I just got from the boys says that I will be puppy sitting alone all night. I can't wait until both boys go back to school.

Snow, Football, an Cat Dancing

7:28 am - Sometime last night after dark it snowed. We got up to this morning to a dusting on the ground.

4:14 pm - Well I went with Mother to Manchester where I helped her buy the new appliances at Brook Valley. Than I left Gr with her and went to Pittsfield to pick up some Christmas decorating things. Now it's just really good to be home curled up on the couch. Peace and quite. I'm going to do some work on Photo Shop, write a little, and relax, on my last night of being home alone.

7:07 pm - I just realized today is when C should have been playing in a bowl game. Had the Ironmen scored in those last two minutes two weeks ago in St Cloud, today they would have been playing one more football game. Oh well as sad as it still makes me feel, would a, should a, could a, but didn't.

8:05 pm - I just found a really good movie on the Western channel
. I think is is some of Burt Reynolds finest work in his early years.

Sad Day In ST Cloud

7:34 am - I had a really great nights sleep. I think today will be a good day, although it looks like a gray day.

8:06 am - It's snowing

10:55 am - God it's cold out. I'm going to freeze my ass off sitting at the game. I walked down the block to Perkins for breakfast/lunch, and to kill time until I can go to the game. C called me to say they were only about an hour and half from St Cloud. He sounds pretty up beat. I hope the boys have a good game. I'm staying at the Radisson here in ST Cloud. I'm staying here because of its location to the field. I didn't rent a car so my feet will be taking me where ever I'm going.

8:11 pm - It was a beautiful day for a football game, unfortunately C's team didn't win. There was no score with only 2 minutes left to play and the other team scored. The Norsemen beat the Ironmen by six whole points. It was really crushing to C, he played harder than I've ever seen. I know it will be a tough ride home. I walked back to my room, froze all the way through, and feeling a loss even greater [that may be the last game I ever get to see C play]. I went to the lobby and printed my ticket for tomorrow flight home, and than retreated to my room. I had room service send up dinner, because I just couldn't go back out. Now I'm tired, warmed through and ready for bed.

8:28 am - I'm sad to think that my time in Ely MN is almost over

9:50 am - got the computer ready to do office work for W but now I have to wait from him to call me back. We couldn't figure out the billing issue with Manchester Masonry, it'll have to wait until I get home

10:38 am - I am ready for Halloween, I love the decorating and I feel like a little kid about tonight. 43 years old and I will be getting my first Trick or Treater

11:37 am - the dog has been outside all morning, she just meet her first big black crow, nothing scare this dog.

12:10 pm - I almost got hit at the light by Zup's "http://www.zups.com/" some old lady pulled out in front of me. I had lunch at Vertine's with C. Bought stuff for dinner, now I'm just waiting for the Trick or Treater's to show up.

5:07 pm - The first Trick or Treater of my life. A little girl dressed up like a little kitty.

6:15 pm - C and his friend M came over after football. I got rid of most of the candy and had about 40 Trick or Treater. Really cool night, and I'm still smiling. Now C and I are chilling, and Maple is sleeping glad the night is over. It was really worth it.
