Back in the Office...Damn

6:17 am - I woke up, well Big E woke me up leaving for work. I went back to sleep on the couch until seven thirty.

8:56 am - One load of laundry done the second in the wash and I'm off to the office

11:51 am - We had our second bad check of the month. I guess this is a sign of the times. It made me mad. I would love to post all this guys info here, but... I'm running like crazy today, just trying to get a few things done. Now I'm printing pictures of Big E's stone work for a meeting at two in Stratton.

12:41 pm - Lunch at Friendly's with Big E, when he shows up. I spend a lot of time rushing around for him, than waiting on him to show up. I've made the deposit and done the mail. I'm getting rid of chores in really small bits. Also reading a new book, just started

1:09 pm - Big E finally showed up

1:56 pm - I just got off the phone with Big E's sister P, his father is still not going to be able to get his knee replaced. After six weeks of the hospital and nursing homes, he still has an infection. This is getting ridiculous. D and Pt are going to kill their children with having to care for them.



2:55 pm - We're running all over Stratton showing a contractor Big E's work trying to get another job. I can't tell if the guy is bull shitting of not.

4:44 pm - I stopped in to see my mother and didn't get out the house until almost six. We vent off eachother. Than I went over to Bennington and got pizza for dinner at PizzaHut.

7:20 pm - Little E went out for the night to watch the game. Big E is heading for bed, and I'm chilling with Granger.

Leaving Ely

4:28 am - I was up much earlier than I planned, but the time changed last night and my cell phone didn't reset the time. I got out of the house with out waking C or Maple. down side of the morning though is that I lost a contact. Good thing it was time to change them anyway.

7:00 am - I'm in Duluth with way more time than I need to catch my flight. I'm doing breakfast at Perkin's



8:16 am - The rental car is returned and now I begin the wait that will bring me home. I just got off the phone with Big E, where we re-hashed the game again. I still can't believe they won [I've never seen C look so happy]. I'm sitting in the coffee shop in the Duluth Airport, since they have seats that you don't mind. At least my first flight will be comfortable, I got an upgrade to first class.

12:06 pm - I'm in Minneapolis. I've had lunch at Quizons and A & W Root beer, and now I wait again. I wish my first flight had taken me closer to home, it was a new plane and very comfortable. My reading a book right now called
My God she nailed her subject way to close to home. Being an escape of wife abuse twenty-three years ago this book is bringing a lot of those feelings back. I was lucky to have a friend save me when I couldn't.

10:12 pm - Thank God I'm home. Granger still loves me, the house is a mess, there is way to much laundry to do, and I'll be buried under paper work at the office tomorrow. It's good to home, and I'm going to bed.

Ironmen All The Way

7:01 am - up in the dark, I let Maple out, she came Right back in and went back to bed with C

7:48 am - what a beautiful sunrise

8:10 am - I couldn't have breakfast at my favorite place :{ so I just went down to the Grand Ely Lodge still got to have my stuffed hasbrowns [you can't get them at home]. I hope Maple isn't bugging C to much.

10:43 am - for just a moment I was back in Middlebury with Little E on the morning he played in the North/South game. That was maybe the last time I felt really close to him. But Maple started barking and that broke the spell



11:01 am - done cleaning up from Halloween, except for the left over candy, its all a memory. The dog is going crazy in the yard

2:12 pm - I begin to express my discuss with the team today. The coach still has a lot to learn and over half the starter got in trouble last night, and well from the frustration gets the better of my language *!@#$%&? etc



4:04 pm - THEY WON we're going to ST Cloud next Sunday. OMG I can't believe they won 10 second left and the score became 27 to 26

6:42 pm - C and had dinner at Stony Ridge after the game with his friend M and H and family. M's father is really a hoot.

9:09 pm - so my trip is wrapping up, the bag is almost packed, and tomorrow I'll be head south to Duluth Airport and home. I'm going to be sad to be leaving.

Trick or Treat

7:20 am - up good morning [feel like I brunt my tongue]

8:28 am - I'm sad to think that my time in Ely MN is almost over

9:50 am - got the computer ready to do office work for W but now I have to wait from him to call me back. We couldn't figure out the billing issue with Manchester Masonry, it'll have to wait until I get home

10:38 am - I am ready for Halloween, I love the decorating and I feel like a little kid about tonight. 43 years old and I will be getting my first Trick or Treater

11:37 am - the dog has been outside all morning, she just meet her first big black crow, nothing scare this dog.

12:10 pm - I almost got hit at the light by Zup's "http://www.zups.com/" some old lady pulled out in front of me. I had lunch at Vertine's with C. Bought stuff for dinner, now I'm just waiting for the Trick or Treater's to show up.

5:07 pm - The first Trick or Treater of my life. A little girl dressed up like a little kitty.

6:15 pm - C and his friend M came over after football. I got rid of most of the candy and had about 40 Trick or Treater. Really cool night, and I'm still smiling. Now C and I are chilling, and Maple is sleeping glad the night is over. It was really worth it.

Day Two in Ely MN

7:29 am - I got up to another lovely sunrise, my whole body is achy

9:04 am - Pop Tarts Cinnamon [than hang out first load of laundry]

10 am - doing stretches to the 10's, done @ 10:10 am

10:35 - short dog walk around the block, done at 10:55

11:52 - lunch at the Grand Ely Lodge http://www.grandelylodge.com/dining/menu-08/Grand_Ely_Lodge_Lunch_08.pdf [club sandwich, cup of baked potato soup, onion paddles, and ice tea. $17.00 with the tip] I only ate 1/2 the sandwich, so today I don't feel so stuff. Finished with on piece of hard candy

1:03 pm - groceries from Northland http://www.elynorthlandmarket.com/ I was waited on by Ethan. $ 23.93

1:12 pm - Carved pumpkins and cleaned up the yard for winter, than I took Maple for a walk around Miner's Lake [much to nice a day to be inside]

4:13 pm - this was a great drying day, I wish I had done more laundry.

6.23 pm - Dinner with C, toasted cheese sandwich with tomato soup, and few pieces of Halloween candy.

9:42 pm - C is a sch dance, Maple is sleeping on my feet. I talked for quite awhile with Big E tonight. It's been a good day.

7:14 am I got up [feeling that sick something is wrong in the pit of my stomach feeling]

Breakfast - a slice of pizza with green peppers and pineapple [@ 8:17], .8oz bag of Blueberry Welch's Fruit n Yogurt [@ 9:14, 90 c]
